Pleomorphic Adenoma in the Left Submandibular Gland
Parotid Tumor Surgery in Istanbul by Prof. Cetin Vural M.D.
A 61-year-old male patient applied to our clinic with the complaint of swelling under the right chin that he noticed a year ago. On examination, a mass was found in the right submandibular (under the chin) salivary gland. As is done in such cases, the right submandibular gland was excised together with the mass. As a result of the histopathological examination, it was reported as 1.2 cm in diameter pleomorphic adenoma. The patient, who survived the postoperative period without any problems, was discharged on the second day.
