Pleomorphic Adenoma in the Left Submandibular Salivary Gland
Parotid Tumor Surgery in Istanbul by Prof. Cetin Vural M.D.
A sixty-four-year-old male patient applied to our clinic with the complaint of long-standing swelling under the left jaw. On examination, a mass was found in the left submandibular (under the chin) salivary gland.
The left submandibular gland was completely removed with the mass inside. As a result of the histopathological examination, it was reported as 1.5 cm in diameter pleomorphic adenoma.
The patient survived the postoperative period without any problems and was discharged in two days.
