Pleomorphic Adenoma in the Left Parotid Gland
Parotid Tumor Surgery in Istanbul by Prof. Cetin Vural, M.D.
The patient, who had a mass in the deep part of the left parotid salivary gland detected in an MRI examination conducted three months ago for another reason, was diagnosed with a pleomorphic adenoma according to the biopsy results.
The patient underwent a left parotidectomy surgery while preserving the facial nerve.
After the surgery, the patient was discharged on the third day. The histopathological examination of the removed tissue confirmed the needle biopsy result, reporting it as a pleomorphic adenoma.
