Salivary Gland Pleomorphic Adenoma Surgery
Parotid Tumor Surgery in Istanbul by Prof. Cetin Vural M.D.
A 23-year-old male patient applied to our clinic with the complaint of a mass in front of the right ear for 5-6 years. Right superficial parotidectomy was performed on the patient using a nerve monitor.
In this surgery, in which the integrity of the facial nerves was preserved, the tumor was removed with some healthy salivary gland tissue without damaging the surrounding sheath.
Pathological examination was reported as Pleomorphic Adenoma. The need for other additional treatments disappeared.
