Salivary Gland Pleomorphic Adenoma Surgery
Parotid Tumor Surgery in Istanbul by Prof. Cetin Vural M.D.
A 36-year-old male patient, who applied to our clinic with the complaint of a mass under the left earlobe that was noticed twenty days ago. A tumor was spotted in the superficial lobe of the left parotid gland during the examination and examinations.
In order to reduce the risk of damage to the facial nerve, the mass and surrounding healthy salivary gland tissue were removed by surgery (superficial parotidectomy) using a nerve monitor. No complications developed in the surgery.
The patient, whose pathology result was benign pleomorphic adenoma, recovered and was discharged.
